Improve the everyday employee experience while helping managers handle people matters with confidence. This HR Manager role combines hands-on support, ownership of the employee lifecycle and opportunities to strengthen engagement, inclusion and wellbeing across a growing organisation.

    The Company

This independent consultancy and technology advisory business serves private capital markets. Its teams support investors, fund administrators and asset managers with implementing, improving and operating technology platforms, combining sector knowledge with configuration, migration and ongoing support. You’ll shape the internal people function, not deliver client technology projects. The role is based in London, with hybrid working and two office days weekly. You’ll have autonomy to improve HR processes and collaborate with senior leaders to connect employee needs and commercial priorities.

    The Role

As HR Manager – Tech Consultancy, you’ll lead the employee lifecycle and manage one HR team member. Your remit covers recruitment, performance, reward, compliance and engagement, with a particular opportunity to strengthen management capability. You’ll use consultancy or professional services experience to balance individual needs with business priorities. Senior stakeholders will look to you for advice on workforce planning, organisational design, change and complex employee relations matters. This full-time role offers an immediate start and combines strategic people planning with operational delivery. You’ll apply sound judgement, coach managers and improve HR practices, ensuring employee support and organisational objectives remain connected.

    • Improve employee engagement, inclusion and wellbeing while managing HR resources.
    • Coach managers and advise leaders on employee relations and organisational change.
    • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and performance management across the employee lifecycle.
    • Manage disciplinary, grievance, capability and redundancy processes.
    • Coordinate reward, benefits, payroll liaison and learning initiatives.
    • Develop people strategies aligned with business priorities and workforce needs.

    Benefits and Perks

The package supports flexibility, wellbeing and continued professional development. As well as a starting salary of £70k-£75k, you will also get the following benefits:

    • Hybrid working with two office days weekly.
    • 25 days’ annual leave, increasing with tenure, and enhanced parental leave.
    • Private healthcare following probation.
    • Discretionary bonus and enhanced employer pension contributions.
    • Funded professional development, including CIPD membership.
    • Pension salary sacrifice, cycle-to-work and electric car schemes, plus gym discount.

    Requirements

Experience takes priority over academics, with an HR or Business degree preferred.

    Must-Have:

    • CIPD Level 5 or a 2:1 degree.
    • Broad HR generalist experience, including two years in a senior or management role.
    • HR experience within consultancy or professional services.
    • Strong employee relations expertise and current UK employment law knowledge.
    • Confidence advising senior leaders and coaching managers.
    • Commercial awareness and proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office.

    Nice-to-Have:
