Role:
We are seeking talented Scala Developers to join our research and development team. As a Scala Software Engineer, you will contribute to building innovative products that address complex business challenges in fraud, compliance, and financial crime for our Tier 1 clients. You will work in a dynamic R&D environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, high-performance micro services primarily written in Scala. Our technology stack includes functional programming, Cats, Shapeless, Akka, Monix, event sourcing, CQRS, Spark, Hadoop, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the R&D team to design, develop, and deliver high-quality, well-engineered solutions to complex problems.
- Embrace the latest technology stacks and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.
- Utilise functional programming skills with Scala and other relevant languages.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of back-end services, micro services, and distributed systems.
- Apply big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch to process and analyse large volumes of data.
- Ensure the scalability, flexibility, and performance of our products by utilising techniques like event sourcing and CQRS.
- Participate in agile teams, working closely with engineers, product owners, designers, and QA professionals.
