Essential skills
- Excellent understanding of relational databases, including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS, and the features available within SQL Server, with proficiency in using SQL Server in highly transactional environments.
- Advanced knowledge of TSQL, query plans, and the RDBMS Engine, enabling the identification and resolution of complex performance and concurrency issues.
- Ability to model data based on requirements and provide recommendations for system design to support future development.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience with relevant tools such as Azure DevOps for CI/CD, automation, GIT, and infrastructure management.
- Considers non-functional requirements, such as security and archiving, when developing or reviewing code.
- Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to mentor others.
- Demonstrates consistent behaviour aligned with the organisational culture.
