The Role
- Lead the development of high-quality software solutions using PHP frameworks such as Symfony, Slim, Laravel, Laminas, or others as appropriate.
- Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices using PHPUnit to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Lead the design and development of a new platform using the latest tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Demonstrate a full understanding of HTTP and REST principles for developing scalable and maintainable RESTful APIs.
- Utilise Docker for containerisation and AWS for cloud infrastructure, deployment, and management.
The successful candidate will have
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in PHP engineering.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team of software engineers in an Agile Scrum environment.
- B2B experience is useful.
- Scrum Master experience is useful but not essential.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and team management.
