    The Company

A recognised leader in the grocery retail industry, known by millions across the UK. What makes them truly unique is their data-first approach, driving decisions at every level. Whether it’s shaping product ranges, planning promotions, forecasting demand, or refining loyalty strategies, data guides every step.

Analysts are deeply integrated into the organisation, playing a central role in steering commercial direction and driving innovation across the business. You’ll be joining a highly respected data and insights team that values collaboration, continuous learning, and real impact. With access to vast datasets, modern analytics tools like SQL and Tableau, and regular involvement in commercial decision-making, it’s the kind of place where analysts thrive, develop quickly, and see the results of their work in real time.

    The Role

As a senior seasonal insight analyst, you’ll sit at the heart of the trading operations team, helping to keep the grocery offer in sync with customer needs and seasonal moments from Christmas and Easter to everyday promotions.

You’ll work on both short-term, high-impact queries and longer-term analytical projects that shape strategic decisions across pricing, promotions, and product ranges. Your work will directly influence how the business plans stock, optimises deals, and reviews seasonal performance.

Partnering with stakeholders across the commercial function, you’ll use data to tell compelling stories, drive improvements, and influence decisions. You could also have the opportunity to mentor a graduate analyst, depending on team placements.

    Requirements

    • Some experience using SQL — or a strong willingness to learn it quickly (training and support provided)
    • A solid foundation in numeracy, demonstrated through one of the following:
      • A degree in a STEM subject
      • Hands-on experience in a data or analytics-focused role
    • A proven ability to turn data into commercial insight — and communicate that insight in a way that influences decision-making
    • A good instinct for asking the right questions and getting to the heart of a problem
    • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar

    Desirable

    • Experience in retail, FMCG, or e-commerce, particularly involving seasonality and events
