This company is an independent and highly successful Economic Consultancy. They specialise in business and public interest research and provide forecasts, analysis and strategic advice to their clients.
The Role
This Senior Economist role within the microeconomics team is an extremely client facing position, the extent to which you wouldn’t see within a big four firm until reaching Partner level. You will play a pivotal role in delivering products through quantitative economic analysis using a variety of data, providing day-to-day management of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget. Business development is an important part of the overall role and you will build ongoing client relations that ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business; the focus of your role would be circa 70% delivery and 30% business development.
About you:
– You are highly knowledgeable around microeconomics and macroeconomics
– You are proficient in writing easy-to-read reports for a business audience
– You are a confident individual who is comfortable being interviewed on TV and radio
– You have the interpersonal skills to be a strong business developer and to interact with clients
Requirements:
– Minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent grade in Economics (or relatable) from a reputable university
– Proficiency in Excel
– Experience in project management and business experience within either a consultancy or in-house organisation.
