Their products aim to examine huge volumes of data and overall detect and prevent anomalous and suspicious activity. They use the latest tech, such as AI/ML technologies as their product is widely used by numerous companies in the public and private sector.
The Role:
They are looking for talented developers, of all levels, who are passionate about cyber security and are keen to make a difference in the financial and fraud industry. We are seeking experienced Scala developers who want to join a collaborative team environment we’d love to hear from you.
You will be joining the R&D department, running projects across the entire software life-cycle. Primarily coding in Scala, with other tech including Spark, Hadoop, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch and GCP. You will be building new models and tooling to improve both the quality and efficiency of project delivery. You will be working with delivery teams, clients and partners to produce high quality solutions, in both cloud and on premise environments. The back end services are primarily written in Scala and deployed as microservices. They are huge fans of functional and strongly typed programming, making use of libraries such as Cats and Shapeless, as well as Akka and Monix to help build scalable, highly performant, distributed systems.
The R&D department consists of over 100 people split into agile teams of engineers, product owners, designers, QA and others each focusing on specific projects and areas of the platform.
Requirements:
- You will need proven commercial experience of either Scala
- The ability to problem-solve, a can-do mentality and an enthusiasm to learn emerging technologies and techniques
- Hands on experience of using cloud-based environments
- Experience with DevOps tooling and approaches
