Our client specialises in making data more relevant – across cyber security, credit risk, business intelligence and data management. Headquartered in London, they have offices in North America, Asia and Europe.
This position will see you work within a small Agile team, as part of a wider tech team c.100 strong members.
The technology stack is Scala on the back end, and heavily typed programming on the front-end with TypeScript and Angular 6+. Other technologies and libraries used include: Akka, Monix, Cats. Shapeless, Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, Gradle, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Docker, Kubernetes.
Key skills for this role include:
- Take pride in designing, building, and delivering high quality well engineered solutions to complex problems.
- Have experience functional programming using Scala AND/OR experience using modern front-end frameworks, ideally Angular
- Have experience with the full engineering life cycle, from design and implementation through to testing and deployment.
- Want to build a rich, data driven application.
- Take a big picture approach to solving problems, taking care to ensure that the solution works well within the wider system.
- Love working with the latest technology.
