Based in Surrey our client is a privately owned technical consultancy specialising in the national security and defence sectors.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing PCBs using FPGAs, SoCs, high-speed network interfaces and analogueRF signal filtering.
- Simulating and implementing signal and image processing algorithms in VHDL for FPGAs.
- Performing schematic capture using OrCAD.
- Managing PCB layout, fabrication and assembly subcontractors.
- Setting to work PCBs including writing test firmware and software.
- Developing Linux device drivers for hardware.
- Mentoring others.
Due to the nature of this role you will need to be able to obtain UK govt security clearance.
You will have
- Have 3 or more years experience of complex PCB design.
- Have 3 or more years experience of FPGA development in VHDL.
- Have software development experience in embedded CC++.
