A market data platform that is allowing a central source of truth to be built within the energy market in order to improve risk validation for global energy firms. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering accurate forward curves to some of the world’s leading energy providers, utilising extensive pricing datasets. You’ll be tasked with collaborating with the engineering and product teams, initiating, planning and building new and exciting greenfield data products, and taking the lead on all things data science, you’ll also get the chance to mentor junior software engineers to build their capabilities whilst reporting directly into the CTO.
This is a great next step for someone looking to take on a Lead role with ambitions of growing into a head of data science over the next 12 months.
The successful candidate will likely possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience working within a greenfield data environment
- Be educated to at least MSc level – PhD would be preferable
- Experience working with pricing data sets
- 5+ years of commercial experience (3+ should you hold a PhD)
- Proven experience of developing and leading data science teams
- Experience in the energy/financial services space will be hugely appreciated
