The Role:
After growing to a yearly turnover of circa £45 million, this tech company are seeking modernisation, with new product lines and a buy and build strategy that will exponentially boost their growth trajectory.
Here, you will be the key contributor to the innovation of their data infrastructure, to a more scalable data stack. The build on this is almost completed; postgreSQL internally, with CData to pull over into Snowflake. You will cover the data story and transformation side, utilising dbt and PowerBI and expose what is truly driving trends behind numbers, refine segmentations, and provide analytical deep dives to direct the business forwards.
This position will help lay the foundation of the company strategy moving forwards and will involve significant interaction with the C-suite and private equity investors who will come to you as they seek suggestions and advice on where data will drive value to the business.
This role is too big for 1 person and the expectation is that a team would be built out beneath you.
There is a shared office space in Croydon but offer a highly flexible work pattern, recommending ad-hoc office visits. This allows you autonomy over how you carry out your work.

What You Need:
- Snowflake and dbt
- SQL
- Experience building dashboards in PowerBI (or a similiar visualisation tool)
- An understanding of Data engineering
- Gravitas and confidence to be able to handle the C-suite, and US investors who are hot on the data
- Experience within scale-up or start-up businesses
- As a guideline, 4-5 years post-university minimum experience
