The Role:
I am seeking a highly skilled and visionary head of machine learning to develop these advanced Machine Learning initiatives. As the Head of Machine Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data science strategy over the coming years and driving innovation across this exciting business. Given this recent investment into the business, one of the primary objectives will be building and retaining a world-class machine learning team beneath you as the business looks to turn dreams into reality. You will be responsible for developing and implementing state-of-the-art machine learning models using innovative deep learning techniques and algorithms that will enable you to advance a shared vision of better integrating AI across society and adding significant value across the business. Supervise the development and execution of the machine learning strategy, in alignment with the company’s CTO

Hire and guide a team of highly -capable Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Design and implement advanced machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems and extract actionable insights from data.

Apply your expertise in deep learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics to enhance our product offerings.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to integrate machine learning capabilities into our products.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of machine learning and identify opportunities for technological innovation.
The successful candidate will likely possess the following skills and experience:
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
- Proven track record of guiding successful machine learning initiatives, experience in a start-up environment is essential given the youth of the business.
- Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and data processing tools.
- Strong end – end experience in deploying your own models and running code reviews etc
- An outstanding understanding of statistical concepts and their applications in machine learning.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving start-up environment.
