A rare opportunity to join a worldwide leader in the defence space are looking to add a new head of data science to the team as they continue to innovate and work on cutting edge projects and research.
What will the role entail?
Leading a highly regarded, well established team you will be responsible for leading a team of 20+ data scientists and ML engineers working on a variety of projects including missile defence and Stealth technologies. Due to the sensitive nature of the projects on offer only so much can be detailed on this advert.
You will be responsible for:
– Overseeing model deployment and productisation of ML models
– Developing the current team and recruiting where needed
– Build and develop relationships with 3rd party stakeholders including those from the MOD and various 3rd party consultancies
– Establishing new systems and processes and look for opportunities to improve the flow of data
– Representing the company at external events and conferences
The successful candidate will likely possess the following skills and experience:
– Significant experience with ML Model Deployment
– Experience running large data teams (10+)
– A strong working knowledge of statistics
– A proven track record of developing direct reports
– Previous domain experience within defence
