Join a rapidly expanding company in the healthcare field that recently secured a substantial investment of approximately £250 million from a prominent mid-market private equity firm. The organization is embarking on an 18-month growth plan, and the CEO is on the lookout for the inaugural data specialist to lead a transformative data project aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and boosting returns on investment.
As you report directly to the newly appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO), your primary responsibility will be the implementation of a cutting-edge reporting system, coupled with full management of our internal data repository. Over the long term, you’ll have the opportunity to install a data-centric culture and strategy company-wide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the transition from manual Excel-based processes to a contemporary, user-friendly reporting solution.
- Utilise Power BI to automate labor-intensive workflows and procedures, introducing fresh metrics and business key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee the enhancement and optimisation of our current data infrastructure and warehouse in the Azure environment, originally established by an external consultancy.
- Develop and execute the organisation’s business intelligence and data strategy, reporting directly to the CIO and collaborating with the broader C-suite.
- Play a pivotal role in cultivating a data-driven ethos within the organisation, while also reshaping our data strategy, architecture, and analytics. This may involve managing key stakeholders, restructuring, and integrating a compact data team throughout the business.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated success in steering impactful data projects within Logistics, Retail, or related sectors.
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and the Microsoft Azure technology stack.
- Hands-on experience in constructing a BI framework from scratch, encompassing back end infrastructure and front end reporting.
- Exceptional ability to effectively engage with a range of C-level decision-makers, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A history of fostering a data-focused culture within an organisation, through productive collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
