The Role
Our client is looking to appoint a first class Senior Analyst to join the Business Planning team, who are responsible for maintaining much of the day-to-day operational efficiency. This will be a line management role where you will have direct responsibility for four analysts.
Your daily tasks and responsibilities will be highly varied and will play a key role in the following:
– Managing and analysing routing efficiency
– Investigating, mapping and suggesting improvements for current business processes
– Headcount planning, e.g. assessing future leavers across various work areas
– Ad-hoc analysis of large datasets and understanding the impact of changes on business operations
Essential skills for the role to include:
– Educated to degree level, having gained at least a 2.1 or equivalent in a mathematical or statistical subject
– Demonstrate quantitative analysis and excellent qualitative problem solving abilities
– Ability to use statistical methods for analysis
– Ability using Excel to an advanced level, including complex formulae, pivot tables and spreadsheet design
– SQL and VBA is desirable
– Excellent commercial acumen
– Operations or logistics experience would be desirable
