An exciting financial services business are looking to bring in a director of analytics after recently significantly investing in their data capabilities.
Reporting into a visionary VP who has joined on the back of strong growth plans, this is an exciting greenfield opportunity to integrate data into decision-making within adjacent teams and allow the business to continue it’s rapid trajectory.
You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing a strategic roadmap for business intelligence & the wider analytics function that aligns with an ambitious set of business goals, whilst fostering a culture of data-driven decision making. You’ll collaborate closely with data engineering and data science teams to align on overall data strategy, prioritization, and ultimately drive commercial value.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of analytics and BI managers and analysts to deliver high-quality, automated reporting and strategic analytics.
- Liaison with business units to define and standardize business KPIs and ensure they align with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with data science and data engineering teams for seamless data integration, and provide training and support to business users on analytics and BI tools and data utilization.
The successful candidate will likely possess the following skills and experience:
– Proven experience in leading an analytics and BI team, including managing managers and analysts.
– Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering BI solutions on time and within budget.
– Strong consultative skills with the ability to explore business requests and uncover underlying needs.
– Previous experience with Bi tools such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau and Salesforce etc. is essential
