The Role
As a Data Science Consultant, you will work with clients to identify, design and deliver data science solutions that create measurable value. You will help organisations understand where AI and machine learning can make the biggest difference, then turn ideas into prototypes, models, data products and scalable solutions.
This is a hands-on consulting role for someone who enjoys variety while staying close to technical delivery. You will combine Python, SQL, cloud platforms and applied data science with clear communication, helping senior stakeholders understand complex opportunities in practical commercial terms.
- Identify high-value AI and machine learning opportunities for clients.
- Build prototypes, proof-of-concepts and applied data science solutions.
- Develop models using Python, SQL and analytical techniques.
- Apply NLP, time-series, geospatial or statistical methods where relevant.
- Translate technical findings into clear commercial recommendations.
- Support scalable, responsible and reliable AI deployment.
Requirements
Must-Have
- Strong experience in Python, SQL and applied data science.
- Good knowledge of machine learning, AI or statistical modelling.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Consulting experience or strong stakeholder-facing experience in industry.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with generative AI, agentic AI or autonomous systems.
- Exposure to NLP, time-series analysis, geospatial methods or MLOps.
- Understanding of responsible AI, model deployment or scalable architecture.
- Due to security clearance requirements, UK residency of 5+ years is preferred.
