Our client is a leader in the consumer FMCG space with a worldwide presence.
After significantly investing in data over the last 5 years they are now looking to add a data engineering manager to their high performing data team as they look to build on a strong sense of momentum after experiencing double digit growth over the last few years.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the global data team, which is tasked with handling data warehouse, business intelligence (BI), and analytics projects.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of data engineering initiatives, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization, and promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
Some of the key responsibilities you’ll be asked to take on include:
– Data warehousing architecture & design
– Strategic planning and execution with stakeholders across the business (technology, analytics, sales, finance)
– Performance monitoring & organisation
– Ensure the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes
The successful candidate will likely possess the following skills & experience
– Be MSc educated or above in a STEM subject
– Have previous experience managing a high-performing data engineering team
– Strong knowledge of data modelling, data integration, and ETL processes
– Strong competency with cloud platforms (preference for AWS)
– Be a strong communicator capable of talking to both technical & non-technical stakeholders
