The Role
This is an exciting time to join with a number of projects undergoing due to growth in the data centre division.
There’s a small but highly capable data team in place already and plans in place for a large scale ERP transformation in the next 18 months.
As a data engineer in this high-performing team you’ll be charged with taking the technical lead alongside a more junior data engineer, reporting into the head of data and acting as a technical authority as the business looks to build it’s first data lake house. Alongside this, you’ll be charged with taking the lead on a Datrabricks migration currently underway and developing insightful dashboards in order to drive stakeholder performance both with internal clients & presentations to c-suite.
There’s significant room for upwards mobility with plans to significantly grow the team, this position would suit someone looking to grow into a lead data engineer position over the next two or so years.
The successful candidate will likely possess the following skills & experience:
- Previous commercial experience in the data engineering space.
- Experience building data lakehouses & data warehouses.
- Strong Exposure to Databricks & cloud technologies (AWS,GCP Azure etc.)
- Proficiency with PowerBI would be highly advantageous.
- Possess strong communication skills – being comfortable working with multiple internal stakeholders and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
