The Role:
As a Data Engineer, you’ll work in a close-knit but high-calibre team tasked to improve their back-end databases and online analytics systems. For instance, using SQL and Python to control ETL/ELT processes, scraping web data to help create new and insightful datasets & developing online visualisations in JavaScript.
If you were to join, you’d have a large amount of responsibility within the business, championing good quality coding standards and leading code reviews with Analysts in the team.
The Successful Candidate is Likely to Have:
- Excelled throughout academia, ideally in STEM-based subjects
- A strong command of SQL and data visualisation tools
- An excellent understanding of database design
- Proven experience building robust data pipelines
- An interest in using cloud-based technologies, mainly AWS
