Data Analyst/Business Intelligence Developer/Remote/3 months+ extension/Start ASAP
A data analyst/BI developer is a professional who builds & and maintains business intelligence solutions, including data analytics platforms and reporting tools. They translate business needs into technical specifications and create visualizations and reports. Proficiency in database management systems, data analysis and BI technologies, data cleansing is required.
3-month contract outside R35 with a high chance of extension + option to go permanent.
Must have:
- Expert level in Power BI or Tableau
- At least two years of relevant experience
- Experience client-facing delivering technical insights to non-technical stakeholders
General Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in BI development
- MSc in computer science, engineering or a relevant field
- Experience with business intelligence tools
- Experience with large data sets, dimensional modelling and master data
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and visualisation
- Understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Strong knowledge of data modelling
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong experience with cleansing and issue resolution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
Tasks of the Data Analyst/BI Developer Are:
- Designing and developing business intelligence solutions
- Perform SQL queries – design, code, test, and aggregate the results to create useful information
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Write technical documents on database content
- Develop technical documentation
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
