Job Summary:
As a customer analysis specialist, you will be responsible for analysing customer data to gain valuable insights into their purchasing habits, preferences, and engagement patterns. By leveraging your analytical skills and using cutting-edge tools and methodologies, you will help the company make informed business decisions and implement customer-eccentric strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to identify opportunities for growth, optimise customer retention, and enhance the overall customer journey.
You will play a crucial role in understanding customers’ preferences, behaviours, and needs, enabling them to tailor their offerings and provide an unforgettable shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Utilise various data sources to extract, manipulate, and analyse customer-related data, including transactional records, demographics, behavioural data, and feedback, to identify trends and patterns.
Customer Segmentation: Develop and maintain customer segmentation models to categorise customers based on behaviour, preferences, and lifetime value, enabling targeted marketing and personalised communication.
Customer Journey Mapping: Analyse and map the customer journey to understand pain points, areas of improvement, and opportunities to enhance the overall customer experience.
Customer Insights: Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders on customer behaviors, preferences, and needs, facilitating data-driven decision-making across departments.
Retention and Churn Analysis: Investigate customer churn factors and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies for customer retention and loyalty.
Marketing Campaign Analysis: Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by measuring customer response and conversion rates, and suggest enhancements for future campaigns.
Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses and benchmark our performance against industry leaders.
Forecasting and Predictive Modelling: Develop predictive models for customer behaviour, product demand, and customer lifetime value to guide strategic planning.
Data Visualisation: Create visually appealing and insightful dashboards and reports to communicate findings effectively to management and key stakeholders.
Data Integrity and Security: Ensure data accuracy, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations while handling customer data.
What’s Required?
- Educated to at least degree level with exceptional results in a quantitative subject
- Experienced commercial analyst
- High level of proficiency in Excel including
- Logical thinkers who are able to easily spot patterns and derive insights from these
- Outgoing communicators with the ability to articulate results to both technical and non-technical audiences
What’s Desired?
- Experience in customer analytics, retail or Ecommerce
- Experience with either SQL, Python or R used in any capacity but ideally in a commercial setting
- Experience reporting to a variety of stakeholders
- A degree in one of the following subjects (maths, economics, MORSE, statistics, computer science)
