As a Business Intelligence Engineer, your primary responsibilities include the design, construction, and maintenance of data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and data models to meet the demands of business intelligence and reporting. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders from various teams to understand their requirements and develop comprehensive solutions that offer valuable insights into our company’s operations, trends, and performance.
Key Duties:
- Design, create, and maintain data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and data models to meet business intelligence and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different teams to comprehend business requirements and execute end-to-end solutions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using visualisation tools like QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights to guide business decisions.
- Ensure data quality through continuous monitoring and updates to maintain accuracy and currency.
- Optimise data warehouse and ETL pipeline performance to ensure efficient query execution.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the field of business intelligence and data analytics.
A Day in the Life:
We allocate approximately 70% of our time to roadmap projects while dedicating the remaining 30% to maintenance tasks and addressing potential issues in our data pipelines and data products, which can range from QuickSight Dashboards to web applications or Excel reports. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you’ll support the specific needs of our European division and contribute to worldwide projects for Deals and Supply Chain. You’ll have regular interactions with business stakeholders, involving understanding their requirements, analysing them, designing solutions, implementing them, validating them with stakeholders, and ensuring proper documentation of your work.

Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in analysing and interpreting data using tools like Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
- Proficiency in data visualisation with tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar platforms.
- Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
- Ability to craft complex SQL queries.
- Proficiency in using SQL to extract data from databases or data warehouses and scripting experience in Python for data processing.
- Familiarity with SQL.
