The Role
This is an exciting time to join this innovative newly created Big Data team as they look to service a whole host of high-profile clients. With clients becoming ever more data-driven and becoming more and more engaged with the world of big data, there has been a need to service the most cutting-edge, yet demanding data challenges.
Primarily, you will be responsible for advising fast-moving clients on how best to handle large data sets in order to help drive commercial performance and help unlock new growth opportunities. This will primarily be accomplished through the creation and use of Data Mesh’s, utilising Python and cloud-based technologies such as AWS.
Despite this being a hands-on technical role, the consulting element remains. As such you will present to clients as well as manage their expectations, which means the role is more likely to align with the interests of somebody who enjoys product development as opposed to purely coding.
With the director looking to win new business for this team, there is significant opportunity to take the initiative and support in building out an area that is essentially a blank canvas.
If successful you will likely possess the following skills and experience:
- Significant experience of building Data Mesh’s
- Previous experience with Big Data and Cloud tools such as AWS and GCP
- Previous consulting experience is desirable
