The Role
Customer success as a formalised role has never previously been hired for externally but a recent company restructure has meant that rather than having generalist analysts who can talk to clients, present results do a bit of everything, the organisation structure has split across 4 specialist functions: data/analytics/customer success/operations. So, customer success is a new practice area and dedicated function that has 9 heads.
The customer success team are the conduit between the analytics team and the client, understanding client requirements, translating those to the analytics team and supporting in the best possible way to make it a seamless process, offering new or different solutions where appropriate.
This is not at all hands-on with data or modelling but will be expected to interpret data and create insightful presentations on the back of the analysts’ work, e.g. why have the results shifted? It’s a fantastic role for someone with good analytics and data expertise who wants to get closer to clients and who values role variety and accountability.
The Candidate
- Multiple years of professional experience across project management, client relationship management and data analytics
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when it comes to story-telling ability
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
