Urgent Opportunity – Commercial Leader – 9 Months Fix-term Contract (Maternity Cover) – Reporting to the CEO

An exciting early-stage FinTech start-up entering a growth stage for the organisation is looking for a commercial leader to join on a maternity cover FTC.
The company have just secured a substantial amount of funding and looking to use this to accelerate its growth across all areas of the business from tech to sales. This key position will play a pivotal role in this development.
Oversee Marketing and Sales:
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for products and services
- Manage all aspects of GDPR compliance for the technology module and EuroRep
- Collaborate with the sales team to execute effective sales and promotional campaigns
- Design targeted campaigns specifically for legal professionals
- Foster and develop partnerships with legal, financial, and IT service providers
Lead and Manage Teams:
- Provide guidance and direction to the content team for platform content updates
- Oversee the marketing team’s activities to ensure alignment with the marketing strategy
- Work collaboratively with the business development director to manage the sales team
Drive Business Growth:
- Secure new clients through contract negotiation
- Negotiate and manage vendor and partner contracts
- Analyse platform performance and provide commercial insights to product development
- Partner with the finance team to maintain financial projections aligned with commercial goals
- Champion the brand and its offerings

- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results, and a record of successfully growing successful teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
- Experience within the financial services/Fintech/Regtech space is required
Hard Goals
- Must achieve first sales within the first 3 months
- Achieve sales of £100,000 per year (pro-rated based on length of contract)
- Arrange meetings with partners and attendance to events 10 meetings and 5 conferences by October 2024
- Manage and supervise a sales team of 4 plus the recruitment of 9 more by July 2024
